See your file before you pay: free previews for every .pub
Starting today, PubConvert shows you your converted document before you pay anything.
Drop a .pub file on the page. In a few seconds you get page images of the converted result, rendered by the same engine that produces the paid downloads. No signup, no email, no credit card. Look at your calendar's cells, your newsletter's WordArt, your booklet's page order. Judge the quality with your own file, not our samples.
How it works
The preview shows real output. It's the exact rendering you'd get in the PDF, shown as images with a watermark across each page. Up to 12 pages per file, up to 25MB. Your file is deleted from our servers as soon as the preview is made, same as always.
When you want the actual file, PDF, Word, IDML or ODG, that's what full access is for: a one-time $49, no subscription. Batches of up to 20 files at once, up to 2 GB per job.
What changed, plainly
We used to give three free conversions. Now we give free previews instead, and every download requires full access.
Here's our reasoning. Three free conversions answered the wrong question. Most people have either one file (and got it free) or a folder of two hundred (and hit the limit immediately). What everyone actually needs to know before paying is the same thing: will my file convert well? The preview answers that better than three coin flips did, for every file you have, six previews every ten minutes.
If you bought full access already, nothing changes. Your magic link keeps working for every conversion, downloads, bulk batches, all of it. That's permanent.
Why we're confident enough to show you first
A preview-first model only works if the output is good, because now you see the result before we see a dime. We've spent this year making the engine match what Publisher itself produces, document by document, and this month's update moved it further. If your file comes out wrong in the preview, we didn't earn your $49, and that file becomes our next bug to fix.
Try it now. Drag a .pub file in, look at every page, and pay only if you like what you see.
