The service

PubConvert converts Microsoft Publisher (.pub) files to other formats like PDF, Word, IDML, and ODG. Free users get a watermarked fidelity preview of their file. Converting and downloading files requires a one-time purchase. Existing purchasers keep their access.

Service provided "as is"

PubConvert is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we do our best to provide accurate conversions, we cannot guarantee:

• Perfect conversion quality for all files
• That all fonts, layouts, or formatting will be preserved exactly
• That the service will be available 100% of the time
• That all .pub file versions will be supported

Complex Publisher documents with unusual fonts, embedded objects, or advanced formatting may not convert perfectly. We recommend reviewing your converted files before using them for important purposes.

Your responsibilities

When using PubConvert, you agree that:

• You own the files you upload or have the legal right to convert them. Don't upload copyrighted material you don't have permission to use.
• You keep backups of your original files. We are not responsible for data loss. Always keep your original .pub files.
• You won't abuse the service by uploading malicious files, attempting to overload our servers, or circumventing entitlement (preview is not a download).
• You won't upload illegal content or use the service for any unlawful purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PubConvert and its operators shall not be liable for:

• Any data loss or corruption
• Conversion errors or quality issues
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service (if any).

Payments and refunds

Access is a one-time payment of $49 USD, tax included, subject to the file-size and file-count limits published on pubconvert.com at purchase (currently 2 GB and 20 files per conversion job). There is no limit on the number of conversion jobs. Rate limits apply only to prevent abuse.

The merchant of record is Link (Stripe). Your card statement may show LINK.COM* PUBCONVERT.

Refunds: 7 days worldwide. EU and UK consumers also have 14 days from purchase under applicable consumer law. Contact [email protected].

A purchase on pubconvert.com covers conversions on this website. PubConvert for Windows is sold separately through the Microsoft Store, and Microsoft handles that purchase. A website purchase does not unlock the Store app, and a Store purchase does not unlock website downloads. Purchases made on pubconvert.com before these Terms were last updated on 2 October 2026 also include a Windows app license; contact [email protected] to claim it.

Service modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time. We may also refuse service to anyone for any reason, including suspected abuse or violation of these terms.

Intellectual property

You retain all rights to the files you upload and the converted output. We claim no ownership over your content. The PubConvert name, logo, and website design are our intellectual property.

Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date when we make changes. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the United States.
