PubConvert for Windows is on the Microsoft Store
PubConvert now has a Windows app. It runs the same engine as this website, on your own PC, and it can convert thousands of .pub files at once. You can get it from the Microsoft Store.
What it does
The app converts Microsoft Publisher .pub files to PDF, Word (.docx), IDML for InDesign or Affinity Publisher, and ODG for LibreOffice Draw. You don't need Publisher on your computer.
How it differs from the website
- Thousands of files at once. The website takes up to 20 files and 2 GB per job. The app has no file limit. It can convert thousands of .pub files in one go, so a whole archive is one job instead of hundreds.
- Your files stay on your PC. The app converts everything on your own computer. Nothing is uploaded.
- Updates come through the Store. When we fix something in the engine, the app gets the fix as a normal Store update.
- No free preview in the app. To see how your files come out before you buy, use the free preview on this website. It runs the same engine.
Price
The app is a one-time purchase in the Microsoft Store, and the Store shows the price in your currency. In the US it is $48.99.
The app is in English for now.
Which one to use
If you have a few files, the website is enough: preview free, pay once, download. If you have a whole archive, or you want your files to stay on your own computer, the app is the better fit.
